My last " Chacha" drink during lunch at Fabrika Compound holding this cute kitten.
Wonderful memories of 12 days stay in Fabrika Hostel with a la " Sherlock Holmes" mystery of my stolen purse in my hostel room " No133" and informing the police as also visiting a police station in a foreign country and submitting a report for the first time in my life at " Gogolstreet 11" police station. Strangely on returning from the police station found my purse kept neatly on the room study table.A bizzare mystery .Who was the " CAT BURGLAR" among us guests residing in " ROOM No 133" of Fabrika Hostel. Start of a Agatha Christie mystery ?!

"CHACHA" sipped in "Fabrika Compound".Don't leave Georgia without tasting "CHACHA".
" CHACHA" is a Georgian pomace brandy, clear and strong (ranging between 50% alcohol for commercially produced to 85% for home brew), which is sometimes called "wine vodka", "grape vodka", or "Georgian vodka/grappa". It is made of grape pomace (grape residue left after making wine). The term chacha is used in Georgia to refer to grape distillate. It may be also produced from unripe or wild grapes. Other common fruits or herbs used are figs, tangerines, oranges, mulberries or tarragon. Many Georgians claim chacha has medicinal properties and is suggested as a remedy for a number of ailments, including ear blockages and indigestion. Also, it is claimed to cure stomach aches by applying it to the abdomen. It is also claimed to cure acne by applying to the face. The Kakheti region, which is in the easternmost part of the country, accounts for 75% of all vineyards (approximately 33,000 hectares) in Georgia. .

Khinkali are Georgian dumplings that are a favorite at dinner parties or supras. The most common version of them is meat-filled, like in this recipe. In addition to the meat, the dumplings have a brothy filling due to the juices that the raw ground meat produces when cooked.
